Hello Friends, my mission at Hello Healthy Habits is to simplify healthy living
so you can thrive doing what God has called you to do!
 

Just like you, my days are filled with long to-do lists.  I enjoy my role as vlogger, wife, mom, grandmother, friend, and most importantly a loved and forgiven child of God. 

Sometimes in all the busy-ness of life we may get frustrated and feel stuck in a rut of tiredness, poor health and not accomplishing the most important things in our lives.  Figuring out what works and sharing things that help you and me get unstuck and back to feeling great is my passion.  Believe me, I’ve been stuck and it’s not fun. 

I love researching health, and to get unstuck I waded through the overwhelming, complicated maze of health information to discover the simple truth found in timeless whole foods and principles from God’s Word.  My shift from the Standard American Diet to clean whole foods God made in nature has been a game changer. 

My goal is equipping you with simple daily habits and tools that add up to big results.  On my health journey, I learned some habits that delivered balanced weight, better health, more energy, less stress and just feeling great…almost all the time!  I also learned this can be very doable when we take it one step at a time.

I’m far from perfect, but if I can help you with anything I’ve learned, it would be a dream come true.  I hope Hello Healthy Habits will feel like a friend walking beside you on your journey to feeling great! 

I started Hello Healthy Habits because people are sick!  Many suffer “old-people” diseases at younger and younger ages, and others just feel their health and weight are spiraling out of control.  There is hope and there is help.  Research confirms chronic diseases and many nagging health symptoms can be prevented and often reversed…with a few healthier habits. 

What are the foods?

The foundation of my food philosophy is that God and His design are brilliant.  He made our body, loves us like crazy and designed food for our good.  New studies confirm whole foods found in nature work like delicious medicine in our body and support God’s amazing design.

Sounds easy, but identifying God’s food in the sea of altered processed foods offered at our grocery store is not so simple.  Hello Healthy Habits is here to help.  My diet centers on whole plant foods that restore health.  Whole plant foods and the mega nutrients and fiber they provide are largely missing in our diets while animal foods have taken center stage.  In our home, we use animal foods like a condiment and for special occasions.  I choose clean versions grown in a natural way without antibiotics and growth hormones. 

What’s my education?

My passion led me on a long search for information that teaches God’s whole foods and a healthy lifestyle as medicine.  I quickly learned doctors receive little to no training in this field and those who have learned the great impact of whole foods and lifestyle have done so outside their formal training.  Thankfully, as new research confirms the healing power of whole foods, more education is becoming available.  In the meantime, I’ve read a small library of books over the past few decades from a wide range of experts.  These pioneers used a variety of natural remedies including food and lifestyle to gift their patients, and me, with drug-free answers to vibrant health long before their time. 

What are the principles?

God’s principles are just as valuable as His gift of food.  From His principle of trust that provides peace in our stressed-out culture to His instruction to practice fasting which is scientifically proven to be life extending, God is absolutely brilliant.  His principle of sowing and reaping is reflected in my Do the Dozen habit reset plan.  Just like the need to till soil, plant seeds, weed and water before harvesting crops, we sow into our future health with action steps before we see results (and as with a harvest, it doesn’t happen overnight).  God’s principles always bring blessings, so you’ll find God’s Word and principles sown throughout my work as the foundation for everything I do.
